Murder in Warren
Arnold Green kill Burrell Miller with an Ax
Dibrell. March 10
March 23, 1900
Arnold Green killed Burrell Miller near this place Sunday evening with an ax, hitting him twice on the head with same. The hilling occurred at the home of Martha Haley, a divorced wife of Miller. The trouble arose of the Haley woman, who was a former wife of Green's brother and married Miller after Green's death. On account of bad treatment she secured a divorce from Miller and would have nothing to do with him since. Miller accused Green of interfering and had threatened his life several times and was breaking into a room where Green was at the time he met his death, with an ax to kill him. Green was arrested and placed under a $500 bond for his appearance at the Circuit Court. The general opinion is that he was perfectly justifiable in the killing.
